I really like it! Everything looks nice together…perhaps you could add interesting soap dispensers? I don’t think towels would be good right in the middle, and it would hide the mirror part of the dish.

@Jamieg:  You could put a few pretty bottles of perfume on the silver thing – that would look very nice.

I love the bathroom though, I think the decorations all work.

I would place all three pics on the same wall and hang them at the same height.

I would hang something different over the toilet.

Do you have a towel rack or hooks anywhere? If not, I would place one under the pics, or add some hooks to the back of the door.

Is this a master bath or the guest bath? If it is the master bath then I would use the tay to corral every day toiletry needs like toothbrush holder, mositurizer etc, . If it is the guest bath then I would use it to hold guest towels.

I like the idea of hanging all three pictures together at the same height… But I think the only thing at will give this room a wow factor is painting it. A golden caramel color like in the shower curtain might be nice.

I think a slightly lighter shower curtain would open up the space a little but otherwise very nice.

I would lay three short scented candles there.  I think when they are lit the reflection would look beautiful against the mirror on the bottom, plus the scent and colours would enhance the room further.

I would hang the pictures at the same level.  If you do not have room for all three on the same wall I would add something else below the picture above the toilet.  I think it needs something else there to create maximum impact.  I would get some fancier looking soap dispensers and use them versus the B&BW ones OR they have things you can slip over the B&BW soap dispensers to glam them up.  If you don’t know what I’m referring to click the link below.  They usually have them in silver finish or a bronze colored finish.

Slide one of those over top of your soap and bam — more grown up looking and maybe less money than fancy soap holders?

For the tray I would add some short pillar candles that match your shower curtain.  Deep reds or plum candles…or even sparkly gold candles would look lovely.  I’d vary the heights of the candles.  You could even look for battery operated candles so they’d glow at night (on a timer) without worrying about fire risk.  I think it looks nice and with a future adjustments it could look even better.  Good luck!

Agree with PP, I would get some really nice candles and perhaps find something else to put on top of the toilet to avoid candle overload.  (Maybe one of those plants that like dark hallways? I forget the name right now).  I like the idea of towels in a guest bath, but as a guest I’m never sure what to do with them (the pretty decorative towels)- like can i use them? And if so (genarally if there aren’t any other towels readily available) what do I do after using? Hang it up? Roll it up again? Etc.  I have seen rolled towels at a really nice hotel restaurant with a cloth lined laundry basket next to them, but it makes sense in a hotel setting and not in a home where your guests probably don’t mind reusing their hand towels.

However, being that it’s a guest bath is there room for the guests to spread out their toiletries? It looks like sink space is limited.  If not, it might be better to replace this tray with one that looks less breakable/fragile and make it a space for them to lay down their toiletries.  The pretty tray could move to the toilet.

Oh, one other thing you could put on the tray is little apothecary jars with cotton balls, qtips, etc.  You can etch them yourself with monograms or labels if you like.  Depending on how modern you want to go, here are a couple examples:

Other than that, I would replace the soap dispensers with something more interesting, maybe like this: .  The shower curtain is kind of dark for me especially for what looks like a windowless bathroom, but it all goes pretty nicely.  I would consider trying cream frames for the photos, esp the two (not necessarily the alone one since there’s a lot of cream/white on that side already.  Is upgraded lighting in the budget? It looks dark in there but different lighting could really brighten it up.

Oh yeah lighter frames would help brighten it up some.  I agree with her ^ on that!  I also like the apothocary jar idea.  I’m a sucker for those jars — they’re fab.
