I don’t really have an opinion on the neckline (other than that it looks nice right now) but don’t cut the train off, it’s so pretty! Not all bustles are horrible, have you thought of one that just pulls it up in the back right where the waist is? That’s what I had and I thought it was really unassuming- just thirteen little clips at the waist:

Arasewing:  I don’t think it would be that bad- before you have the train cut off, you should have a seamstress pin it for you! Then you can make an informed decision, since you can’t put it back on after you take it off. But I think since it’s pretty short and the material is thin, it shouldn’t add too much bulk.

The dress look so nice on you right now so please dont cut the train off. You can practice the girls on the walking.

Arasewing:  There is another alternative to a bustle. You can add a loop on the inside hem to loop over your wrist so you are able to walk and dance without dragging the train.

I’d definitely adjust the neckline… I dont have much of an opinion on the train but like a PP said, I’d have them pin it and see what you think so you dont end up regretting it.

Arasewing:  I think the neckline’s fine but a sweetheart would be lovelier. If you have the time & money I’d change it but it’s fine as it is 🙂 I just wanted to ask if those are pockets on your dress I see!?

I would absolutely give it a sweetheart neckline. If you can find an alternative to cutting the train I’d do that– but if you can’t, cut it off. It sounds like it would really annoy you, and there’s no reason for that!

Leave if you can stand it. It looks so pretty and will make great photos! Definitely have a seamstress pin it for you before you decide for sure – they can do wonders!
