I am currently growing out my hair (I want it long again, like below boob length) but its taking FOREVER. It’s probably not as long as I feel, but I know my goal is probably 2-3 years away yet.
Pic below is me right now and I’m wondering if you have any ideas what I could do with it in the mean time to make it more interesting? I am trying to keep it in as good condition as possible but am open to colour suggestions. Only thing that REALLY doesn’t work for me is any kind of fringe as I have a widows peak AND a cows lick (lucky me…)
Looking forward to your ideas!!

I am constantly in a cycle of growing my hair long and cutting it short. Unfortunately, every cut/trim will make your goal of long hair farther and farther away. I usually ask my hairdresser for a cut that will grow out nicely without the need for numerous trims/changes.

I totally get the cycle of long/short hair, I’m ALWAYS back and forth myself between a bob and long hair. HOWEVER, last time I had my hair cut short I decided to try something new and ended up getting a REALLY short crop on one side, and sort of chin length on the other side. It. Looked. AWFUL haha. So I’m a bit scared of going short again. This is also the first time I’ve grown out my hair without having highlights so my hair seems to be in a lot better condition now than it was before. So I have this goal of long healthy hair in mind, but I’m just so bored of “inbetween hair”

Agree, limit the amount of trims whilst growing out, especially if you’re taking care of it(no straightening irons etc)you won’t need it trimmed as much. I’ve been growing mine and instead of straightening I’ve been washing, 2 mins blow dry then dividing hair into 4 sections and twisting, letting it air dry and I have bouncy waves all day, it’s really helped not straightening and I haven’t had a trim in about 4 months and it still looks healthy, and is now right down my back. Also once a week use argan/olive/coconut oil(any will do)on wet hair, massage in for ten minutes then sleep with shower cap on this stimulates growth apparently 🙂

I have no idea what you could do with your hair; I am really bad with hairstyling! What I can help with is advice on how to make your hair grow faster, folic-acid supplement for a start. You can put bay-rum and bergamot essence in your conditioner and when conditioning your hair leave it in for about 5 minutes. Wash as little as possible, do not color treat or use any chemical treatment on your hair it will stunt the growth and as little heat as possible. I have difficult hair too, lots of fine frizzy hair! Maybe some of this works for you. Wet set your hair in foam curlers it’s a healthy way, if you like curls, to do something nice – up or down…
