I am looking into options for adding some more bling to my set!
I currently have a round brilliant solitaire, 0.56 carats, H, VS1 with diamonds in the setting and a matching wedding band.
At first I was thinking of adding a halo to my engagement ring but I do love the classic look of the solitaire and although I love the look of the halo from above I personally am not a huge fan of how halos look from the side. I also wonder if the halo would block a lot of light to the underneath of my diamond?
Now I am thinking of getting a second matching wedding band for above my engagment ring, but wonder if it would be too much on my finger? I wear a size 5.5.
What would you do if you were me?! 🙂
Leave the set as is?
Add a halo?
Get a second wedding band?
Photos welcome of course! 🙂

HGP: I think your set is lovely as it is, I wouldn’t change a thing. It is sparkly and classy but not gaudy. I would not add a halo. If anything, I think adding a second matching band would be a nice touch.

I would add a second band also. You can always wear it on your right hand if you think it is too much but I think would look beautiful!

HGP: I agree with SithLady — I wouldn’t change a thing. I wouldn’t even add a second band, but that’s mainly because I’m not a fan of the symmetrical two band sandwich look.

I think another matching band will take away from your diamond. You should try a thin band that doesn’t necessarily match but compliments your set and stack it below your current wedding band. Just a thought! Goodluck

I love the idea of a matching band. If you are afraid it will overshadow your beautiful stone, perhaps a small eternity band (different style) in between your WB and ER.
I love the look of sapphire and diamond bands. It might be a good addition to your set.
Anything you decide is a win-win situation since your set is gorgeous on it’s own. 🙂

HGP: I would not add a second wedding band because your e-ring band and current wedding band are already plenty wide. If you add a third one, your set is going to be so wide that it will make your center stone look smaller in proportion, IMO.
I vote for a blingy halo. I had a halo added to my .50 carat solitaire this summer, and it glitters like the dickens. It is spellbinding.
A halo with a Tiffany setting will definitely allow the light in and let your other bands sit flush. Just an idea:

Thanks for all the suggestions so far, ladies! 🙂

I would leave it. It is a very sparkly set without being overloaded with diamonds. I think some halos overwhelm the center stone, and yours stands out beautifully just as it is!
