I love the bridesmaid dress – it is really couture. Even if I never wore it again I think as a bridesmaid I would feel happy having worn a dress like that.  I would suggest toning down the top a bit – that much embelishment may not look quite as great on a larger bust or a wider person. You also don’t want your bridesmaids overshowing you.

I think blush and lavender are a little too close together and too pastel for my taste. Why not keep your dress blush and the bridesmaid dresses a deeper violet. That would pop beautifully and I have loved all the pale pink, violet/purple combinations that I’ve seen.

It looks like this dress may be the ivory color, since it is pretty warm/yellowish and blush brings a more pink/rosy color to mind. As far as the BMs dresses, what about a more fuschia color? Here is a link from J. Crew with several shades of pink:

I have seen the light pink/dark pink color combo in several wedding magazines to beautiful results. That is a lot of pink though, so you may want to ask your Fiance if he is opposed or have a clear idea of what the guys might wear

WHY DON’T YOU WEAR THE BLUSH AND PUT YOUR GIRLS IN IVORY OR CHAMPAGNE?

As a small chested gal, I agree with what vyeta7 said about toning down the top just a bit if you can. It’s like–look here at what i dont have!!–but both dresses are awesome looking.

I dont know if you’re a color phobe or not (some people are uncomfortable with random color combinations), but navy and brown can go with the blush/champagne. My old color combination was fuschia and navy (now it’s yellow, orange, and red-orange) so if you’re getting the bridesmaids dresses custom made, go ahead and find a red/pink/fuschia shade that you’re leaning towards.

Or, have them each in a different color. I have 3 Maid/Matron of Honor and they’re wearing the above colors, but it works out well because the colors are so close to each other. So maybe you can put yours in shades of red, pink, and fuschia (depending on their skin tone). Just an idea.

deep purple also goes with champagne/blush… at least I hope so as those are my wedding colours.

P.S. I’m from Toronto as well!

I love love love the dress!!! I love the blush dress idea…

What about a deeper coral-pink? I think fuschia might not compliment your dress as well…something mauvy might work, too?

HI -this is my dress too -I got it in blush -but i am having a hard time on my Fiance.  Can he get away with wearing a white shirt and bow tie-? He really wants to and both of us hate ivory -I wish I would have thought about this before I chose this dress. Please give me suggestions-thanks

The short answers is YES, Absolutely.  The long answer is this question has been asked many times about ivory, diamond white, and blush dresses and I think the consesus is no, your dress will not look dark or "dirty"  in comprison, as he is wearing a suit that is darker than your dress (I am assuming). I am sure you have seen tons of wedding pictures where the bride wore ivory and the groom wore a white shirt and you probably never even gave it a second look. To me it never ever looks off or strange.

I like the bridesmaid dresses – but they look couture (and therefore expensive??) Just a thought. anyway, for colors I think fuschia is nice if you want a pink/red color. Otherwise I think the color of the dress the way it is maybe a nicer darker shade of lavender would be nice but i’m not sure that is what your color scheme is. .. also, you wedding dress choice is georgeous! don’t know anything about colors there, sorry can’t be more help.
