I adore these invites and used the matching save the dates already…. I’m totally stuck on how to word things so it’s short and sweet but includes everything it should.
There’s a lot of wiggle room as far as wording and rearranging the design, though I’d like to keep it close to it’s current appearance, just adding some lines for info where needed.
So far for the invite card I plan on putting a line in white above our names with something like: “The pleasure of your company is requested at the marriage of” then our full first/middle/last names in orange (with a white ampersand)
In white below that: “Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 4:00 PM”
In white below that: “Place Place Name at Place Place in City City, ST”
In the section below, in a larger font than shown: “Food & Fun to immediately follow at Room Name at the Building Name at Place Place”
Next line: “For directions and more information visit: websiteforweddingaddress”
If I include all of that on this card, it eliminates the reception card, saves me some cash and postage.
But… I feel like something’s missing or that it will be too crowded, though I added a bit to the save the date and it turned out fine, and that card is smaller than this one.
For the reply card, I think I would leave it just about as is, but I’m not sure if I should add a line for more space for people to write names or just leave alone?
It’s a relaxed wedding and there’s lots of people contributing things so I didn’t want to word it from my parents. But I’ve seen some wording that used ‘with their family and friends’ which I liked but I don’t know how to use it here.
