When my fiance was 16 he was a driver in a car accident that killed his best friend. We have been talking about instead of having a third groomsmen, having something brought down the isle in memory of him or something else. Does anyone have any ideas on how we can include his memory in with the wedding party? Thanks!

I don’t know about the ceremony part, but I have heard about people leaving a chair at the head table tipped up in memory.

No advice, sorry. But I just had to say I think it’s so sweet of you two to do something like that.

I know of a bride who had a young brother that died right before the couple’s engagement. She asked the last groomsmen to carry a model airplane. Her brother wanted to be a pilot when he became an adult.
They placed the airplane on a pedestal as the last groomsmen. His name was painted on the side of it.
Does that help any?

I am doing one for my son, born an angel 09/01/11… we are going to have a candle at the front of aisle and light it before the ceremony starts to symbolize that our baby Cameron is there with us.
