    I would first apporoach your Fiance and tell him how this is making you uncomfortable….if he OK’s you dismissing her as a Bridesmaid or Best Man, then go to her to talk.

    Tell her that it was important to your Fiance that she be in the wedding party, but you feel that it is not so important to her. offer the choice of stepping down.

    i dont see how she can be a bridesmaid if she isnt attending the wedding – you said its on a cruise and shes not going

    therefore….its more of an honorary position no?

    So long as you can sort out the RSVP issue, I don’t think she’s actually done anything bad enough to replace her. At the very least you (or FI) should first talk to her and work out why she’s ignoring the Maid/Matron of Honor. The party, well she has a prior engagement so that’s understandable.

    I’m glad that’s sorted. I’m always reluctant to remove someone, but since she didn’t care about being in it. it seems to have resolved itself with no hard feelings. A happy ending!
