@MOH22:  So she wants the girls and the guys matched up – like Wonder Woman would be one of the BMs and Superman would be one of the GMs?

Just google things that come in pairs or use the word pairs as your main word because that’s what it sounds like you’re trying to figure out.

Or, you guys can do celebrity couples?

Honestly, if the bride wants superheros and the BMs and GMs don’t like that idea, then you should tell them to come up with a better idea or it is what it is.. because it’s what the bride wants!  And, if you do change the theme, make sure the bride is ok with that!

When my sister got married, they did baseball-style T-shirts that said “Team M&M” (the couple’s initials) on the front. On the back, where the player’s name would ordinarily be, the shirt had the person’s role in the wedding, i.e. Flower Girl, Best Man, etc.

Baseball is really popular in the DR, so it would tie in nicely. Smile

@MOH22:  Does she not like the celebrity couples idea?

What about food?  Like different foods that go together?  Peanut Butter & Jelly?  Cookies & Milk?  Bacon & Eggs?  etc?

Did I understand you correctly that you want a paired up theme?  Or just cute themes in general?

I’d make everyone wear team shirts from legends of the hidden temple lol

If she wants a superhero theme I’d just tell the bridal party to suck it up

Honestly I’d try to push the bride off of this idea if at all possible. Not only do many people think it’s a bit over-the-top to dictate what someone wears on the plane ride to the Destination Wedding, but having a group of folks show up in matchy-matchy outfits singles you out as obvious tourists going to a special event. The bad guys know without a doubt that you’re celebrating something, which means you’re more likely to be caught up in the excitement and less likely to be aware of your surroundings, and also sends a huge signal that you’re likely to be carrying a fair bit of cash, nice presents, and other things that theives love.  I haven’t been to the DR in years but like many busy airports, the one where you’re landing will have its fair share of pickpockets and con men. Don’t make yourselves such an easy target.

What about famous and classic Hollywood movies/series couples ? Is the bride a film/tv shows lover ?

I say keep the Comic book hero theme but ditch the pairs thing. Or go with hero/villian and don’t worry about matching genders.
