MemberI think I would definitely want it taken in at your natural waist where there is some buckling/wrinkly going on…I think your seamstress is crazy! Taking it in a little more doesn’t mean that it would have to be skin tight from what it looks like in the photos.
MemberWas it clipped in the back when you tried it on before ordering it? Or did you try on the exact same size with no clipping?
MemberMemberThanks guys I appreciate all the feedback. It’s difficult to judge your own appearance accurately. I agree that it needs to be taken in through the hips. I am actually wearing shape wear in the second pic. I had cups added to the dress and I think maybe they are making the wrinkling in the middle worse. I will definitely take it back to the seamstress. Possibly a different seamstress this time. If worse comes to worse a sash should help hide some of the bunching in the middle

MemberOh and it wasn’t clipped when I tried it on in the store. It fit perfectly except for the length. And I tried on my actual dress when it arrived. Here’s the pic of that- I had a petticoat and sash on with the dress. I’m still trying to puzzle out how the dress has gotten looser while I got bigger. I guess my weight just redistributed. Lol
