A groom’s cake is a second, smaller cake. You’d still get to have the main wedding cake you picked out.

I’m another vote saying to make it work. If this has all he has asked for then I would find a way to get it in there. He should get to have some part of himself in his weding! I think yellow and red look great together, so I don’t think  you need to worry about the colors clashing. You’ve gottens eom great suggestions for ways to incorporate into the cake or his socks/cufflinks. You could also consider little stamps or stickers with their logo on ssome of the paper stuff like place cards, favors, menus,  etc.

Mrswain:  A groom’s cake is completely different from the wedding cake. A groom’s cake is “just for the groom” but is usually something silly like football related. My friend had a very elegant, classic cake, and then had the entire Michigan stadium recreated for the groom’s cake. It was a big hit, but no one ate it besides the groom (and me the Fiance all the next day).
