Have you tried a “Dubi”? Is when you wrap your hair around you head. It works for me.

I know you said you don’t want to go out and buy and products, but I swear by Redken’s Pillow Proof Primer. You spray it in your hair before you blow dry. It really is “pillow proof”! My hair looks great even after sleeping on it. I highly recommend!

Use a silky pillowcase instead of cotton.  Less pull on your hair, and helps with bedhead.
