It’s totally fine! They’re so far apart that no one will compare the colors. You look great!

My pearls don’t match my dress at all. I have a bright white dress and my pearls are a peachy color. They’re my great grandmother’s! I’ll be wearing them no matter what. The sentimental value is worth it to me! Btw, I think you’ll look fantastic! I agree with pp. your neck and waist are far enough apart that no one will notice.

Side by side, sure, you notice. But given as they’re so far apart, you’ll be fine. Besides, only a fool would notice and say something on your big day. ๐Ÿ™‚

If the sash goes with your dress, then the pearls may look much too yellow next to your gown.  In that case, perhaps you can get some inexpensive costume jewelry to wear, while using your grandmother’s pearls to wrap around or through your bouquet.

I don’t think they need to match, I would stick with what you’ve got.

Your grandmothers pearls will look great with that dress. I don’t think your real pearls need to match the fake pearls on a dress.

Ain’t no body gonna notice that.

You really can’t do much here. Pearls yellow with age, and I don’t think there’s any antique pearls you can buy to match… and still the shade is going to be off some. Ivory was your best call. You did the best you could.

So pretty, and I give you a ton of credit for DIYing it and saving the money! I totally agree that you made the right choice.

I think that everything looks great and that the last thing on people’s minds will be whether the pearls on your dress match your bracelet. Since they’re not right next to each other, nobody will notice. I would definitely keep the applique.

Congratulations and enjoy!

amanda1988:  Hahaha seriously. She should set up an etsy shop! It’s stunning. I love it, and I normally dislike ribbon appliques.
