Whonnock lake centre is really nice! the venue overlooks the water. its a little over an hour east of Vancouver and there are a lot of wooded areas near by.  I believe you can get a permit to have the ceremony outdoors. you would likely need to go to city hall of the city you are looking to have the ceremony in. Whonnock Lake would be Maple Ridge. There are a lot of beautiful places in BC. Good luck.

syledwithakiss:  BC is a big place. Is there a specific area you would like? Or are you willing to travel?

Theres many places on Vancouver Island that would fit the bill. What comes to mind is between Coombs and Tofino. There’s beautiful pristine lakes and forests.

Also Lynn Valley in North Vancouver is gorgeous.

Oh and Goldstream park in Victoria.

Also squamish outside Vancouver is where they did the twilight wedding..

Hi, Just want to say hi. I am from Vancouver and do not see many other people in the area on here!

My dream venue in BC is Black Rock in Ucluelet. It is gorgeous- surrounded by forest but right on the water. The resort is stunning too.

syledwithakiss:  the parks in BC (at least, Vancouver) allow weddings but you need a permit.

so many beautiful places here… even Stanley Park has a forest.  Maybe you could email the people who put together that wedding and ask where they did it?
