Hi! I found a dress I really like but will need to add sleeves to it and can’t figure out what straps/sleeves could look good with this dress. It already has 2 fabrics going on: the top is taffeta and the bottom is tulle. I think adding a third fabric like lace would be too much and when I tried taffeta sleeves at the store it aged the whole look a great deal, which I don’t want. Would tulle sleeves look weird? Any other ideas? Thanks!!

how about beaded cap sleeves?

my dress had a tulle skirt and tulle sleeves with lace appliques. I think plain tulle sleeves would look great with your dress! Especially since the skirt has that beautiful horsehair braid trim, you don’t really need extra embellishments.

Thanks for the recommendations! It’s just hard to vistualize tulle sleeves against the taffeta bodice but I think it could work!

I don’t have any suggestions different from what PPs have said (I like the idea of tulle sleeves!), but I wanted to say that I’m wearing the Selena too!!

Maybe speak to a dressmaker first? I bought a sleeved dress online at dressesmallau.com and it was super cheap, it needed some minor alterationa at the dressmaker, but still much cheaper than paying retail! Good luck 🙂

I also love the idea of beaded cap sleeves!

I would say add illusion tulle capp sleeves that are heavily beaded and a belt that has the same amount of beading
