I definitely like the chair you guys got and I think it actually helps tie everything else together. I love that style of things! I think the paint will look lovely. We were lucky and the living room was the one room we didn’t have to paint and they ended up leaving their couch here. The basement will be our hard room. The paint in there is terrible, but we had the excuse that the carpet hadn’t been put in yet. Now the carpeting is done, so we have to figure out what to do in there. :/

Yes goes together. I like the chair you did get, don’t like the fabric of the one you didn’t get.

I do like the chair that you didn’t buy, but the one you did go with looks better with the other pieces.

It looks great!  I also like the chair you bought better than the one you passed over.

I totally agree with FutureMrsKHBD:, the chair you did buy was the perfect tie between the couches and the cabinet. Paint colour similar to the walls in the image with the couches would work nicely. Then you can add cheaper, colourful decor like pillows that you can easily change up, strong mint, yellow, red, orange and blue would all work (I think) depending on what you like and what time of year it is.

ExpectingBee:  I think your pieces will look well together. There are many colors in the print that you can pull from for pillows and other accents.

One tip: Buy pillows that either have different fabrics on each side of the pillow, or buy some spare pillow covers so you can change up your look if you want to do that seasonally. I change our pillow covers in the winter to grey with a hit of red.

When you choose an area rug, make sure you buy one that is large enough so that at least the front legs of all your furniture pieces are on the rug. The one in the pic with your sofas is too small.

Where did you purpose the loveseat and sofa? I love the style!

julies1949:  That’s something simple that I had never thought about – change the cover, not the pillow. It should be cheaper AND make storage much easier. Great tip!

ExpectingBee:  You can’t really see it, but it’s a cross between green and grey. It’s terrible. They painted the whole basement and sll the stairs/doors that color too. >_<
