This is a anjolique dress, satin with embroidary, over with laces in some areas…
I will have a big wedding with about 500 guests, so I am thinking about dresses that is big..
This dress doesn’t fit perfectly for me now, I do need to do some alterations… What do you think of this one? I am not quite sure.
I went to a Mori lee trunk show today and found another beautiful dress, I couldn’t take a picture of that one, unfortunately. That dress is a very simple and elegant chiffon dress, no embroidary, some pleating, mermaid style too.
Thanks for your opinions~~

I like it – i think its very flattering on you. I think it might look even better with a sweetheart neckline, and I like it better without the sparkly belt.
It depends what look you’re going for, but if you’re having a big wedding and want something to stand out, I think this one would be better than the simple chiffon one. I am planning to wear a simple chiffon dress to my casual, small beach wedding.

I like the dress and actually like the belt as well, I think it adds a little “something” to it.
Am I wrong for saying I don’t think you sound sold on this dress and I’m not sure you are very excited about it? I will say, if you feel like you don’t LOVE it, keep looking if you have the time. Every bride deserves to wear a dress she can’t live without on her big day.

I enjoy this dress. It’s something I would’ve tried on. It looks elegant and formal. That being said, you don’t sound like you love it. I wish you had a picture of the other dress, just for comparison sake.
I went back and forth with my first dress. I loved it, but there were days I didn’t think it looked the best on me. So I ordered a custom dress and while it was pretty I wasn’t sold on it. I altered the first dress and fell back in love, then it was destroyed. Now I have a dress that I think about day and night and wish I could wear every minute of every day. I wish I had found it first because it would have saved me a lot of trouble and money. I believe this is how you should feel about your wedding dress and you just don’t seem like you’re there yet. Don’t settle, you’ll most likely regret it.

It’s beautiful and looks great on you but perhaps look around a bit more? It sounds like you’re happy with it but not really loving it. Also, I personally think you shouldn’t worry too much about whether it “matches” your wedding or not. If you love the dress, does it really matter? I’ve seen brides in huge dresses at small weddings and simple dresses at large weddings and each of them looked fantastic and totally fitted into the occasion, purely because they all loved their dresses 🙂

I thing that you look completely beautiful and that dress. Actually, I think that you make that dress as beautiful as it is. I think that a chiffon dress may be a little underwhelming for such a large wedding, but I really can’t say for sure without seeing the dress.

I think it’s lovely on you, I love the detail too. I too have got a Benjamin Roberts/Anjolique dress 😉

The Anjolique is very flattering on you, and I agree chiffon seems more appropriate for a less formal wedding. I love it with the belt!

I think this is a beautiful dress. Very elegant!

Gosh this one is a beauty!

If you love the dress, get it!
But I’m with you on wanting a ‘big’ dress for 500 guest wedding… and personally, I don’t think this is ‘big’. IMO, keep looking.

That is my favorite style of dress and that one is beautiful. But if your not sure, I would just keep looking. That one is beautiful on you and it accentuates your figure beautifully.
