I just listed the registries on a card in the invite.

You don’t.  You wait for people to ask where you’ve registered, or you put the information on your website.

I know Bed Bath & Beyond will send them to you if you just call customer service.

Are you looking for them to put in with wedding invitations or shower invitations? Obviously putting them in with wedding invites is a no-no. In terms of design, on shower invitations, I think the most tasteful way is to put a small line at the bottom of the invites that says “The couple is registered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Target, and Home Depot.” That’s all the info they need and it feels more discreet/less a point of focus than an insert that falls out.

Just an idea! Obviously this doesn’t work if the shower invites were already printed.

@akelle13:  All of my friends type a line on Microsoft Word that says something along the lines of “the happy couple is registered at x,y,z” and leave it at that.

We got the BB&B ones in the mail after we registered, and then Target gave us a little packet when we registered and they were in the packet. You can also print them off their websites I believe. You can probably also go to customer service at each store & they’ll give them to you.

If you must include them, order custom business cards from Vistaprint.  The first 100 are usually free.

But generally it’s rude to include registry cards.  We plan to put the information on our wedding website even though we have been getting etiquette flack for that as well.

Bed Bath an Beyond printed them for me… they asked me what my approx. number of guests were and printed that many. You can print the target registry cards online if you access your account, but it might just be easier to put it on the invite.

If possible I would just have that information included directly on the shower invite. I got a BBB in the mail a while ago and the crappy ink rubbed off all over their invite…

You don’t.  Registries are tacky enough without putting them in with the invitations.
