I need your help, I bought my dress and love it! It’s a maggie dress, carrie. Unfortunately they only had oyster for me to try on. I assumed I would get white, because I carry a good tan most of the time. My mother and the salesperson convinced me to order the dress in ivory, and ever since I ordered it I have been freaking out!! Can someone post pictures of carrie in ivory? I’m so nervous and my dress won’t come in for another 2 months!!!

I think you’re panicking because it’s gone against what you had set out in your mind. Ivory’s lovely, can be very creamy. Plus, white can look dirty. I saw that dress today on something, may have been on here, if I find it i’ll let you know, a lovely dress.

I think that if you have TWO people telling you you need ivory, then it’s probably a good color for you. Ivory works with a lot of skin tones; white doesn’t work with as many.
And while this is probably a little less helpful, more true: panicking is not going to do anything–you already ordered it. You can’t change it. So you’re better off convincing yourself that you will LOVE the ivory. And you probably will!

This dress is BEAUTIFUL and ivory is beautiful. It is a very elegant color. My wedding dress is ivory and I love it. You will look beautiful in the dress no matter what color it is. If you carry a good tan, the ivory will actually make you look more tan so don’t stress and enjoy the moment. You just got your wedding dress YEAH!!! Now all of the fun planning can begin.

I was going to get white too, but I actually loved how the ivory looked, it’s a bit softer. And I always have a good tan too. I think it will look great on you, so try not to worry! I don’t have that exact dress, I just found when trying them on that ivory was more flattering and romantic looking for me.
