We just decided to have a singer at our ceremony, A friend of ours is the officiate and I have written the entire wedding ceremony. I have to write in his introduction and I am just creatively tapped out…. I want him to sing right after we say our vows and before we exchange rings, but I can’t come up with the segue… ARRGGHHHH!!! He’s doing, “Its a Wonderful Life”

Do you need an introduction? Could you turn to face him and put the attention on him that way?

Put his name in the program. Officiants and soloists are never introduced, especially in the middle of a ceremony.

I agree with the others — put it in the program and, if you don’t have a program, just go without. Officients, singers and bridal parties are really only stage dressing during actual ceremony-time. It’s good to acknowledge them as a thank you, but the focus should stay on the couple during the actual wedding.
