So we are doing something a little different at our wedding … We are having a Marryoke. This involves all our guests miming a song at various points of the day, and then editing it all together with the song track overlying it. It is a lot better than it sounds and you end up with a v fun video as a reminder of all your guests who came( and wedding bits are included in the editing). Trust me, it works.
however we are struggling with song ideas, hence I was asking for help/advice. It doesn’t have to be a romantic song, or even one with an appropriate message. Some of the best I’ve seen hae been to dynamite by Taio or Call Me Maybe. It has to be something people are happy to mime away too and dance a bit.
as we are getting married in Italy and my family is Italian we have decided to do a mash-up. We will prob start with That’s Amore by Dean Martin (so the Italians will do it) but are struggling with what to combine it with. I like something by Katy Perry (hot n cold maybe) as its very pop, my Fiance likes the Power Of Love by Huey Lewis (which I’m not sure a huge fan of as there is a lot of guitar). Other ideas inc… It’s always a good time, Don’t go breaking my heart…
@strawberry84: Haha, Chicago Comic Con did this to Call Me Maybe and the whole thing came out AMAZINGLY!
I’ve also seen one with Starships (I don’t know if that’s the name of the song, I think so) done by a wedding party that came out pretty cool.
Honestly I would pick something really upbeat that most people know the words to. Maybe that “I Think I Wanna Marry You” song. The “That’s Amore” suggestion would also be a good one. “Fireworks” by Katy Perry might also get a good response. “All-Star” or “I’m a Believer” both by Smashmouth would work.
Honestly it’s all about reading your crowd. If a lot of people don’t know it, it won’t work.
Oh, and here is a link to the Comic Con one if anyone else is interested:
It’s really hilarious!
