I also love the cushion!  You get that wonderful square shape plus lots of sparkle!  A 6.5 mm cushion will be PLENTY big on your small finger!  I’ve seen equivalent sized stones on size 9 fingers, and they still look substantial.  I actually think if you went with 7.5 mm it might overwhelm your hand.

Asscher cut! It’s simple and elegant but with a bit of edge because of the cut of the diamond.

Pretty sure I’m going to buy myself that ring one day!

While the Asscher is unique and beautiful, the cushion really stood out to me the most.

@Saria213: So excited for you! If they can do the round with 6 prong i would say go for that, the stone looks biggest and the round sparkles SO much! If not, I say go with the asscher, it is beautiful!

How about going for a larger asscher or cushion that faces up 7.5 mm like the 1.5 ct round?  I have slightly larger fingers, a sz 4, and I think anything up to 2 cts is defintely significant on the hand, but still very tasteful.

@Saria213: I’m also a believer of the ring also fitting your lifestyle. I’m a teacher so 2 ct prob wouldn’t seem real unless my honey made lots of cash!!! haha Maybe I wouldn’t think of that if I had a bigger ring? lol

Good luck. Let us know what you choose!

i would worry more about the stone looking too big than too small with fingers as dainty as yours. forget about looking for a larger size and choose the look you like best. i would also suggest trying on rings with similar stone sizes before choosing just so you can know for sure how it looks with your finger size.
