Good morning ladies!
I want my wedding to be beautiful! But my reception venue won’t allow for any wall or ceiling decorations. The lack of wall decorations is fine because three of the four walls in the rooms are windows so that’s taken care of, but I’d love something else to make the room pop. We are doing kind of vintage center pieces with 2 mix match shape and size glass bottles/ bud vases and one 5x5x5 cube vase with hydrangeas in it that we’re doing ourselves. The colors are green white and yellow and we’re young and paying for the wedding ourselves so BUDGET BUDGET BUDGET!v
Here’s some photos of the venue
The fourth picture is where the dancing takes place so the tables in the picture and the wall with the plants won’t be there. It will basically be a blank slate. HELP!

Have you looked into uplighting, or other types of specialty lighting?

@SeaSalt: I have but I forgot to mention its for a brunch reception. It starts at 11am and goes til 3pm.

What about some tall potted saplings/trees that you could dress up with either lights (if they’d show) or ribbon? Place them around the room.
It’s a beautiful venue, and I really don’t think you need to do much if anything. Focus on the table decor, and people will likely not even notice the walls

@honeybee206: It’s a beautifull venue. I think tall centre pieces should be sufficient.
So the eye is drawn to them when you enter the room instead of too much decoration competing with one another.

I agree with the others. Concentrate on beautiful table decor; flowers, linens and napkins. This venue is very pretty.

@SeaSalt: I LOVE the plants idea! And maybe have taller centerpieces by adding some willow branches to the hydrangea?
You ladies are all so wonderful! Thanks for the fantastic ideas so far!

I agree with focusing on ONE large arrangement in the middle. I think it’s a beautiful reception space that doesn’t need much more! Being a brunch, the natural lighting should be gorgeous!

You ladies are fantastic! I think I know how to fill the space now!
I’ve been doing some searching based on what you ladies have suggested and discovered manzanita tree centerpieces! Even with one large one on the center table or three-four medium sized ones on every other table would be beautiful! I think it would fill the space well and help bring the outside in for an early spring wedding!!
Thans again ladies!!!! I’m so excited now

what exactly would you put on the ceiling anyways?

You have a lovely venue. You do not need any wall decor or ceiling lighting or draping.
Those are used when we are trying to cover up or disguise something- no need for you to do that.
