I need some serious advice!!!
Long story short, the person who has designed and printed our invitations left off the time. It was on all of our proofs, we don’t know what happened. We didn’t notice and didn’t find out until our guests received the invitations. Nightmare!!!!
So, anyway, we’re trying to pick up the pieces now and need to send out a correction including the time of the ceremony.
Any ideas about how to word a cute correction including the time of the ceremony? We’re thinking something cute and a little humorous is the best route to go.
Thank you!!

@lizzie2211: I would suggest doing a quick website and emailing it to everyone as “additional information”… maps, accommodations, etc.

You could get some free postcards from vistaprints and send them out.

My Darling Husband came up with this one for you:
“Fiddily Diddily Dee,
Bride Brain took hold of me
So I made up this rhyme
To tell you the time
I forgot to send out to thee”

Honestly, I’d be having the person who printed the invitations make me some little cards with the correction……..free of charge!

@Fall_In_Love22: Agree. Its her mistake. She should also be paying for postage.
How about something like
While time stands still when you are in love, our ceremony will begin at #.

The invites were sent
without the time
Our heads are bent
in shame
We want you there
so please forgive
And be in your chair
by _____ pm
Years from now we’ll have a laugh
And look back with a smile
Apologies sent on our behalf
Emily-we have no style!

She has already agreed to print a card to send with the time at no cost to us and she’s paying postage. Also giving us a half refund on the total of the invites. Doesn’t fix it, but at least lightens the blow a little.
This is what I’ve come up with so far…..
Oops!!! We have been so excited about our wedding day and counting down the hours, we forgot to share the time!
The ceremony begins at ___ AM/PM, and the reception follows at ___ AM/PM.
We can’t wait to share our special day with you!
Love.
Bride & Groom
How does that sound??? Thanks for your help!
