Searched the boards for someone in a similar situation but didn’t find anything!
I just recently bought the Allure C155 in white (most pictures online are ivory). I’m 5’4″ and would really like to do as little alterations as possible, including the hem, so I’m looking for a tall platform/wedge.
A while ago I had bought some nude sandal wedges from Cole Haan (the Delfina) that are soooo comfortable (and I’m definitely not a heel girl…they hurt!). I would LOVE to wear them for my wedding, but I’m just so worried the nude color and the white (and lace!) won’t go together! Can I get your opinions, Bees? 🙂 Thank you!!
Here are pictures of the shoes and the dress:

I’m having the same problem. I hate wearing heels, but my fiance is 10″ taller than I am, so I need some additional height. I think wedges are the best way to go comfort wise, but I haven’t had much luck finding dressy wedges. Also, my ceremony is outside on grass, so a wedge would be better for that. I’ve seen the heel cap things, but I really think a wedge will be more comfortable and more practical. I’m wearing the Casablanca 1955 (see below) in ivory/champagne. Does anyone have any suggestions for cute wedges that would go with the dress that aren’t too high?

I agree. The shoes, though very cute, are too casual for a formal wedding dress. You will need a formal shoe that is usually satin, leather or perhaps some other fancy fabric. Stay away from the rope covered and/or cork heel when looking for a shoe to go with your wedding dress. Rope covered/cork heels immediately mean casual and would go great with a sundress or jeans.

I also am in a similar situation and require some major height. I am getting married on a beach next year, so wedges are an obvious choice for me (I will have to practice walking on sand in them!). I am wearing a natural white lace dress and just purchased these nude Jimmy Choo wedges.

@grashi: try it on I intentionally went with an ivory dress because I have those same shoes and they are super comfortable. And my dress is lace too. They are a bit casual but sometimes when you are not a heel girl you have to wear what is best for you.

@Ms. Darko: L-O-V-E those shoes!!!
OP- sorry, I agree with PPs that the Cole Haan’s while nice are not the right style for your wedding dress.
