Hi, I am new to wedding bee, and have fallen in love with this website!! I am getting married in November, and my boyfriend and I have started looking at rings. I heard about moissanite, and through hours of research, I am completely sold! I am in love with the stone, and everything it stands for. Ethically, I never wanted a diamond, and moissanite is an even better and more goreous option!
I have found a ring on moissaniteco. that I am totally in love with:
I am new to this and need some MAJOR advice on whether or not I should go with the OEC versus the forever brilliant. Looking at videos, the OEC appeals to me more at first glance. Is it worth the extra money? Also, is it worth it to have the stone upgraded to an AMORA? We are willing to pay because I plan on keeping this ring forever! I do love diamonds, and it is not my goal to pass this off as a diamond, but I would prefer my stone to look more like a diamond. Does this mean OEC is the way I should go?
Also, is 2 karats too big for a moissanite stone. What will the main differences be going from 1 karat to 2 karats? Obviously it will be a lot bigger, but I don’t want it to look ridiculously big! My finger is a size 5.5.
Any advice would be amazing!! Thank you!!!

I love the OECs because of their chunky facets and the pastel colours they throw, I think in this setting it will look gorgeous. See one has just posted this exact setting in rose gold with an OEC if you scroll down the ring board 🙂

Forever Brillant isn’t a cut, it is the upgraded color ones from the regular… I have a forever brillant round, and I love it. I never wanted an OEC. But, the cut is pretty. There are plenty on boards here to compare, if you mean the round compared to the OEC..

I’d get the oec. They are so pretty looking! And moissanite sparkles more than a diamond anyways so you won’t be losing anything in that department 🙂

I love my OEC but I already had a Ring Bearer diamond for many years so I wanted change. I think for passing off the stone for a diamond, the OEC looks authentic. As for getting the enhancement, I have an unehanced that I have been very happy with and faces up very white. Congratulations, love the setting too!!

I have an oec (pictured above) and I also have a brilliant round, they are diamonds not mossinate.
there is no comparison hands down the oec outshines the brilliant round. OEC’s are stunning!!
