That sounds like a great favor!  Very thoughtful.  Yes, for some reason the bees seem to prefer edible favors, but that would be such a nice souvenir.

I’m with the hive one having something edible.  How many of your guests do you think would use mini frames?  I personally like to have bigger pictures so probably would not use a mini-frame.  I doubt people would make fun of them, especially since it would take you a long time – they would probably appreciate that you took time.

My guess is that many of the frames would probably go into a corner or box once people get home, although they may sit out a while.  If you want to do the picture idea, maybe there is some way to incorporate it into a magnet or something, as most people love to have pictures on their fridge.

In the end though, go with what you want to do, regardless of what you think people will think.  Good luck with your decision!

I am doing cookies! I have a family friend who is a baker and she is only charging me $1 a cookie.  She is doing them as well for my sister who is getting married this labor day weekend.  They are rectangle with white icing, and have a monogram emblem on them.  Very sleek, classic, and inexpensive!

I wouldn’t take the worst favor thread to heart because everyone’s opinion is different. Like you see on that some hate jordan almonds while some love them so it really is WHAT YOU WANT to do.

I think that is a great idea and it is really special to each guest to make them feel appreciate and loved because you spent so much time getting pictures together with them Laughingand you’re right, who doesn’t need another frame! I can see about ten photos waiting to be framed..but I have a ocd about things matching so i have to find frames that all match lol. though I might make them 4X6 just because most photos are that size…don’t have many mini ones

I think thats an amazing idea because there is some genuine thought and care behind the favor…The favors that stand out on that other thread are usually on there because they are either impersonal or generic or something…this seems like such a heartfelt gesture to have at your wedding, i say go for it!

I have to agree with the magnet idea.  Your idea is awesome and the thought and would be very appreciated, but I would put a little picture frame away on a bookshelf or something.  The fridge would be a much more prominent place for such a thoughtful gift.

Honestly, it sounds like a lot of work!  I got tired just reading about your project, LOL!  But if you’re willing to put in the time and effort, I say go for it!  I just don’t think people will appreciate how much you’ve put into the favors.  And I’m also not a big fan of mini frames.  I’ve gotten mini frames at a couple weddings, and to tell you the truth, they ended up in the garbage (they were cheap plastic-y things that I didn’t know what to do with)!  What kind of frames (and what size) are you thinking of using?

If you have a small and intimate enough guest list that you have a photo of each of them to put in those frames, I think it is a great gift and worth the extra effort.  It sounds to me like you have a close relationship with each of your guests, since you have pics of yourselves with them.  So I  say go for it.

If you do this right, it could be really awesome. I would say the odds of being able to do it right (nice, quality frame; cute picture that’s personalized) depend on the size of your guest list and the size of your photo archives (small guest list, lots of photos)!

However, I worry that you’re signing yourself up for a world of work, and that a lot of it will go to waste. Not everyone is a photo person—they may not like the photo, or the frame, either in particular or in general. But I definitely wouldn’t say this is a “worst favor ever,” not at all! Just that some guests, especially if your list is large, may not appreciate your efforts, which will probably be considerable. Edible favors are more of a path of least resistance to me—loved by many, and not so much work to do yourself.

This is a beautiful idea though—if you don’t use it as a wedding favor idea, maybe you could use it as a birthday/holiday gift idea instead.

I was thinking of a similar idea when we started and was really about to go with it…and then there were the co-workers or “family friends” where there were no pictures Frown so we are going with favor boxes and candy…i love the idea though!!! Maybe use the pics on a place card (or board) i’m sure there is a way. In the end though it’s YOUR wedding and all that matters is that you like it, that you feel you can do it and you’re happy! Good luck!

Great idea. I’m doing something similar, except I’m going to incorporate the frames into my centerpieces. It sounds like you’re going to have an intimate wedding, at least I’m assuming that because this would be a huge undertaking even for a 100 guests! How will the favors be displayed? I’m sure that people will be flattered and feel like they’re apart of your special day. Ask yourself, how sentimental are your guests, really? If they’re the types that still have valentines you made in grade school, then they’ll love it and your work won’t go to waste. But if they’re the types who say, “if i’m not using it, i get rid of it” you might want to consider something edible Smile
