@FrenchNewlyWed:  I was hoping I’d be able to help, but that’s definitely not something I’ve encountered before! I have found that there are some functions I like in Excel that don’t seem to be available in Google Docs, e.g. inserting a single cell somewhere. If you don’t end up figuring out the issue, you can always try DropBox – create an Excel sheet as you want to, and if you share the DropBox folder with your husband you’ll both have access to it and be able to modify (as long as you don’t remove it from the DropBox Folder!)

I don’t have those issues, I just checked. Have you tried just deleting that spreadsheet and trying with a fresh one? I know that’s probably no help, but I really am not sure why that would be an issue.

@FrenchNewlyWed:  Dropbox is free for up to a certain capacity, I think it’s 3GB or something like that
