Hi there I need some opinions on my table decorations, we will have 10 person tables, and white table clothes. The vase in the middle will have the clear water beads in it. The mason jars will have all b/w old family pictures in them, without the silver tops, and with the cornflower blue ribbon. However it just seems to be missing something…any ideas? The reception is at 9:30 in the morning so candles wouldn’t work, which is ok b/c we cant use them haha. Suggestions?

What about putting votives between the picture jars?

The only thing I don’t know what to put in the votives, we can’t use candles, b/c the venue doesn’t allow them, and it will be in the morning so the candle light would be seen very well, even if we used the battery operated ones. Good idea though.

hrmmm… have maybe you could paper mache them onto the jars intead of putting them inside? or make the pictures double sided bc the one side is blank?

I think its the jar. How about getting that sheer paper with pattern to go with them/decor and having that go on the inside of the jar. The picture then paper so it doesnt look so empty or you could fill them with colored gems and picture. Just some thoughts.

You could add another picture to the jars. Put the pictures back to back to each other and put three stems of flowers in with them. Or you could just put the head of one flower into the jar on the backside of the picture.

You could place the photographs in oil like this:

I’m not sure how many of the mason jars you plan to use on each table but I would use three (odd numbers are more aesthetically pleasing) and pull them in closer to the vase with flowers.
