So, we are getting married in an old schoolhouse – I am torn on if I want my tables to be NUMBERED (K-12) and have pictures of my fiance’ and I when we were in that grade of school. OR NAME the tables like “Table A” and on the table have it say “A is for Adore” using all lovey dovey words…
What do you guys think?

I like the A is for Adore idea. You could find some really beautiful vintage prints of the alphabet.

@shellersbabe: The K-12 idea is wonderful! What a sweet way to add a personal touch for guests to enjoy and you can collect them at the end for your scrapbook!

Either one is great because they will be easy to find. My venue cautioned against naming tables things like “Red” or “California” or “Roses” (I’m just making stuff up) because people can’t find the table because they aren’t in any sort of discernable order and then you get lots of wandering.
Either way, yours will be in an easy to follow order and they’re both really cute ways to spin the table numbering idea!

I think it’s more practical to have numbers rather than letters. However, if you are doing consecutive letters of the alphabet, then it’s acceptable. I think it will get confusing (if it’s a large wedding) to have all random, non-consecutive letters because there’s no “order”.

I think both ideas are cute. But I like the grade number and pics better.

I think numbers are easier than names. That way your guests aren’t all, “Where the f*ck is Cuddles? Anyone seen the table called Cuddles??”

I think it depends on how many tables you’re having. Obviously if you have more than 13, the K-12 won’t work but if you have less than 13 it will be a little odd to only have A-L of the alphabet.
