(Closed) help – order professional album, or make my own?posted 10 years ago in Photos/Videos

I am doing my own album with PhotobookCanada. (I got a coupon so it works out to be a great deal). I printed with them before and was very happy with the results. The way I see it, we will look at the album at most twice a year, and even if it did wear out eventually, I can just redo, update, or expand it if needed. Our photographer’s albums go for $800, and that just wasn’t going to happen. 🙂
If I did get such an expensive album I would always be worried about damaging it, because it would be such a huge investment…
I enjoyed working on the album, so the time I put in wasn’t a big deal for me. It was also easy to do, the software came with templates and you just need to drag images to them. I would suggest doing a test run with an engagement or parents’ album and seeing how much time and effort it takes you and whether you like the quality of the final book.
By The Way, make sure you backup your photos digitally!
