I’m getting married in San Diego but our reception will actually be in Riverside (which I believe is within at most 1 hr from Palm Springs). I also want a mariachi band at my wedding, so I went on Craigslist and found a few from San Bernardino, Moreno Valley, etc who are willing to travel within a pretty good radius. I’d try checking out Craigslist for the mariachi band. As far as everything else, I’m also working on finding myself πŸ˜›

Good luck!

I found some that go from $250-$360 per hour with a 2 hour minimum. I’d email them and ask for their rate and if they have any Youtube samples of their work, that way you can see if they are legit or not.

Another website I’ve tried is also http://www.gigmasters.com. There you can specify what type of live entertainment you’re looking for and they give you a free quote as well.

We went to a wedding last year at a hotel in palm springs. I believe the hotel supplied most of the vendors as well

@Ms. Gin:  Hi! I am getting married in Palm Springs in October! Have you looked at hair and make up artists yet?

Where is your venue?

I know! I am hoping I can get some reviews of someone reliable and that does a nice job πŸ™‚ My biggest fear is that I book someone and they dont show up!

You may want to check out http://www.rentalcomp.com.   You can find all the rentals you need on one site.  I used it and I am in LA, but the site is national so you can find items all over the country.  Just type in the item you are looking for and the location and all the possibilities pop up!  It’s easy to compare items. You can click on individual items to get further information and then contact the vendors directly. It was a HUGE timesaver for me!  Good Luck!

Have you been to any Bridal shows yet?  My last one I went to I found a booth called Ever After(http://www.EverAfter.com).  When you register with them ( which you can do online ) They give you a free 4 inch thick wedding planner with guide to when you should have what things done.  I tell you what it’s taken a lot of stress off of me worrying I’m gonna forget something obvious.  You don’t have to go through any of their vendors to get the free book, you get it free for registering.  Their vendors are all prescreened though, plus if you go through them apparently 10% of what you spend on your vendors they give you to put towards your honeymoon. It sounds like  a pretty sweet deal. OMG i just realized I sound like someone trying to sell you something lol.  I promise you I’m not.  i haven’t actually gotten to the stage of looking for vendors yet because I’m still looking for a venue, so I’m not sure what the price ranges are but just passing the advice along.  Best of luck with your search πŸ™‚
