    I personally would go with the round brilliant unless I was able to see the pear first in person. They tend not to sparkle as much so I would want to make sure that the stone was up to my expectations. But I really like pears and round brilliants are so common  – if that’s the stone you prefer then go for it!

    I chose the pear because I’m really into them right now. They are so beautiful and stunning and very classic. I think they can look dated – my mom had one that was not the prettiest – but in the setting you have above, it just looks classic!

    Pears are nice but in my mind, nothing is as beautiful as a round brilliant for a diamond!

    I have a round brilliant flanked by baguettes, so I would choose that. However, I also have always had an appreciation for pear stones.

    @Oklahomagirl:  Sure!

    I should note that, since your center stone will be larger than mine (mine is 1.21 carats), and your baguettes likely would be smaller (these are huge — .75 tcw), the proportions of your ring will be different, and your center stone likely will be much more prominent.

    Also, there are other bees who have RB center stones with baguette side stones, and most have posted their gorgeous rings on my baguette thread. Perhaps you will enjoy looking at those, too!

    OP, along with  @Brielle‘s gorgeous ring, make sure you check out romantical’s. Hers is stunning as well and is close to the size you’re looking for I think (may be in that thread posted). Two of my favorite rings on the bee!
