Where did you find your photog? Are you sure they aren’t on vacation or has she been MIA for a while? That sounds really sketchy though that she deleted her FB accounts AND her phone is off. Is she from your area?

I had the same problem with my “Coordinator,” who was supposedly trying to start a business. I ended up having to find a new one about two weeks before my wedding also, but luckily for me it was going to be free. :/ Sucks that you’ve already paid most of it.

I’d find someone new right now. This sounds sketch.

How did you find this photographer? Do you have her name and address? You may want to send a certified letter demanding she call you by such a date or refund your money.

First I would focus on locating a new photographer. It is extremely likely that your current photographer will never show up so you need to hurry fast and sign a new contract with someone asap. Once you’ve resolved that, take your current photographer to small claims court and sue for your money back.

From the price you are paying, I have to ask – was she an amateur? Or brand new? It’s quite possible she went under and walked away with deposits. I’d try finding a replacement ASAP!

I agree with PP you need to find a new photographer ASAP. Where in GA are you getting married? If metro area I can give you my photographers info. She runs a company that has multiplephotographers and decent prices.

That sounds really sketchy! I agree with everyone else about finding a new photographer ASAP. I think it’d be easier to find a new one that you KNOW is going to show up rather than chasing one for the next two weeks while you have a million other things to do. Good luck!

My photographer is Chris Michael Wong, he was a steal! And he is awesome! He has a package for 900 I think and a video for 600. Find him on fb or online (Chris with camera, both fb and online). He might still have that date available. If you want his number let me know. Good luck getting your money back from the other person.

Wow that does not sound good. Did she do any engagement shots with you? Have you had any communication since you signed the contract?

I’m really sorry this happened to you, I had the same situation except it was with a wedding planner and he took off with $2,000. I had to plan the wedding myself and come up with extra money. This actuall happens often so when you choose the next photographer make sure to choose them wisely. But the photographer is more than likely not coming back, the best you can do is find a replacement ASAP.
