My faves are #8 Worth the Wait and #2  I love you, bunches, in that order. I think these two are especially meaningful and will retain their meaning in 50 years.

The others, although meaningful now, might not hold the same kind of sentimental value when you’re both 80 years old (for instance, #12). Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have anything against video games, in fact we met in one! But I can only speak from personal experience – that although that’s how we met, it pales in comparisson to our other milestones, like getting our first house, and (hopefully soon) having our own family. It was also 6-yrs ago and neither of us have time to do anything but renovate now.

I also like the timeless classics: #3 B+B 9.8.12 and #9 BJC 9.8.12. You really can’t go wrong with these.

I personally think a ring engraving should hold importance: 1) a date 2) sentimental value 3) a memory. #3 for me is the most important, because during rough patches, it should remind you of what’s important.

    Congrats!

I like #3 B+B 9.8.12 or #9 BJC 9.8.12, because honestly the others seem either fleeting or cheesy & I don’t think the meanings will hold up down the road. Like your song together (it will probably change), nicknames (you’ll adopt new ones), dogs & video games- just no! Smile

I like #3 for the classiness,  but I think it is fun to add in personal touches. Fiance is a major video gamer, and on the night I met him, he was wearing a shirt that was similar to this:

So on his ring I had it engraved “Game over! 11/11/11” Haha! When he saw it he got all giddy, which doesn’t happen very often! He loves it!! And it is meaningful to us, and he can never forget our anniversary!

I like 12 because it is quirky and unique to only the two of you.

I like 1,3,7,8,9, and 10. Classics are great, but I like things that are a little more personal. I voted for #7 because I think it’s sweet and will be a great reminder of your wedding day and first dance (if that’s what y’all choose to dance to). It was a close call between that, #1, and #8 though.

I think as long as it’s meaningful to both of you it shouldn’t really matter what you decide.  I do like the more unique ones versus just the date & initials or common sayings but thats just my opinion.  On Mr. M’s ring, I had “You’re my favorite vacation” engraved because for the past 4.5 years we’ve been together we’ve been on many vacations, even if it’s just a 3 hour weekend getaway to Niagara Falls.  We’re always planning our “next trip”.  So I found it very fitting.  He picked out his ring, but he has no idea what I had engraved inside, it’ll be a surprise for him on our wedding day.

I like Mine + Yours. It’s personal, it’s classy, it’s self-explnatory and still has a story, it sounds pretty. Some of the others seem either too basic (like the date) or too specific (dogs & video games)

I love #7, especially if you end up using it for your first dance.

#10. That one is so cute and being in a long distance relationship myself,I understand how hard it is to be without the one you love during the holidays and always wishing to be with them for it. It could also remind you of the special day he proposed.

I’m torn. : (  I really like the first one and the two about Christmas.  Who am I kidding I love all of the ones with personal stories to go with them…
