Hello bees! I am in the thick of trying to get my wedding planning going. We picked a venue and are trying to pick a theme/ color scheme. We know we we want to do scroll invites. Please feel free to add ideas comments anything will be a big help.

Well… The wood floors have a herringbone pattern, which is fairly common in grand Paris apartments and you have those beautiful chandeliers… What about a Parisian theme? With a moss green and gold color scheme?

What a grand venue! I don’t think you have to match your theme with your venue, but if you want to, anything with a castle would be great!
any of these movies/fairy tales

Well outside is a pretend castle, but inside is just good standard reception centre ,so I think you could do almost anything really .
If you are going to be spending much time out of doors with that facade as a feature , then the medieval/fairytale theme makes sense , and you might want to try and do some medieval style decor inside ( I don’t know what though , rushes on the floor, lol? ) More seriously, maybe featuring candles and flower and other such natural/old style things. But if all you are doing is walking in, I’d go with something like claroquesi suggests .
Have you chosen your dress or dress style, veil etc yet? I’m thinking by your screen name and the scroll style invitation are leaning to the medival/fairytale.

Wow! That’s stunning. I could see something very “English garden” looking great here. Think ivory, greenery, and champagne. That would be so classic and easy to find things for. Google “English garden” and you’ll see what I mean!

Is that the Louisiana Castle?
I’d think colors first, and that will depend on the time of the year… Seems pretty clear it’ll need to be a reniassance/fairy tale theme.
- Purple is supposed to be a color of royalty, could fit into that theme (also popular in the area due to LSU)
- If the wedding is during the fall, deep rich colors like burgandy, hunter green, etc would look really nice.
- The venue itself adds so much to the theme, and I think I remember the grounds having a lot of greenery so even just white florals with some gold or metallic accents could look lovely
