I can’t comment on the etsy shop, but I will say that you can get a quality ring for $900 especially if the shop owner isnt adding extra for a name, like samnsue probably do. How do I know? Because my ring was $900 with a chatham emerald center which being a lab stone is somewhat similar in pricing to moissanite:

Goodluck, I hope you get something you love πŸ™‚

I haven’t heard of the Etsy shop but the ring looks beautiful, and nicer imo than the expensive one. I have shopped at Zhedora on Etsy for moissanite and their prices were way better than most and I was impressed! I say go for the Etsy shop and if your not satisfied return it. Congratulations and Goodluck I hope you get your dream forever ring!!

I would definitely go with the first ring! You love it, it’s in your price range, and I’m sure it’s as good quality as the SamnSue only cheaper because it’s a smaller business. I got my engagement ring for cents on the dollar because we bought my 2 ct diamond from a manufacturer from India and set it on a gorgeous setting from a small business ring… Turned out amazing!

stevensgirl :  First, you boyfriend should spend what is reasonable for his budget, not what his friends spent.

Personally, $2000 sounds like an insane price for moissanite. For example, here’s a ~3ct moissanite ring in 14k gold on Ebay for ~$200. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Gorgeous-2-80CT-Round-Moissanite-Vintage-Engagement-Ring-Solid-14k-White-Gold/392574889209?hash=item5b67496cf9:g:NZAAAOSwYv9d61LG

I think with that budget I’d consider preowned or a lab solitaire. You could probably get a ~1.5ct lab diamond with your budget. Alternatively, you can buy an impressive diamond band and then add the solitaire when you are more financially stable.

    stevensgirl :

The top pic is the moissanite that came in the ring from Zhedora but I had it changed out with a Harro Gem crushed ice moissanite…bottom pic. I never took a pic of the ring before changing out the moissy. The bow tie in the original moissy kinda drove me crazy so that’s why I changed it to a crushed ice. The band is 14k rose gold. Nothing fancy just a simple basket head solitaire. I’m so glad you went with the Etsy shop, the ring is going to be stunning and it’s such a great price! Can’t wait to see it on your finger πŸ’

stevensgirl :  In terms of choosing which one, I love the first ring! And my husband’s and my song is All of Me too! Haha we have the lyrics and our wedding date engraved in our wedding bands ☺️

anonymousbee001 :  I agree, that seems like a high price for the second one. Although i do like the setting. You can find many preowned moissy for much less. If i were on a tight budget, I’d look on some for some ‘pre-loved’ sets on diamond bistro, loupe troop, ruby lane or i do now I don’t. You can’t find some great stuff at really good prices if you aren’t opposed to it.

They are both very pretty though!

stevensgirl :  $2000 is a crazy amount of money to spend on a moissanite. The Love Ring Designs ring looks great and is priced fairly. Never mind what other people spent. You want a fancy wedding, so put the money you save toward that.

I will echo pp who say to look on the preowned sites (and then you’ll see why $2000 is insane for moissy), but I get the feeling that you really like the first ring, so I say go for it.

I much prefer the first ring.  And price doesn’t matter – my ring is about a tenth of the price of that one, but I still love it!
