MemberI’ve gone back and forth trying to decide which ring I want. Top is a one carat round set in cushion halo. 1.3 TCW. Bottom is a one carat cushion cut. 1.4 TCW. What do you guys think? I think a lot of women have the top halo, which makes me somewhat hesitant.
MemberI peronally like the bottom one but I am a little biased because I’m not a big fan of rings with a halo. I mean, they’re beautiful! Just not for me. I also love how dainty the band on the bottom ring is, sooo beautiful and classic!!
MemberRounds and cushions perform very differently. Rounds will have more fire, so you need to decided what kind of performance and look you like. In any case, I’m not a fan of a round in cushion halo. The halo stones end up looking asymmetrical as they are unevenly covered by the round stone and it drives me a bit nuts.
MemberI’m also not a fan of a round diamond with a cushion halo, for this reason the solitaire gets my vote.
Have you tried on both styles to determine which looks best on your hand?
MemberObviously the halo gives better finger coverage but I prefer the look of bottom cushion
MemberI vote the solitaire, but I’m also super biased because halos aren’t my personal style and I also have a 1 ct cushion in a similar setting.
What do you prefer? Don’t worry about too many other people having a similar style. Go with your own personal preference regardless of how popular it may or may not be.

MemberI was torn between two rings very similar to those and went with the cushion cut solitaire and I couldn’t be happier! I LOVE that halo, but I have several friends with similar rings and wanted something a little different. Both are beautiful!

HOWEVER… that solitaire looks stunning on you. Solitaire gets my vote here 😁

If you have time before you make the decision maybe you could get a fake halo and/or solitaire and wear them at home and see which you preffer. I got this fake halo at kohls for $16. I currenty have a solitaire with diamonds which i love ,but somedays i think about making it a halo.
MemberI vote the bottom one! But I’m another one who doesn’t like halos much- I prefer no halo or double halo.
