Darling Husband and I are heading off to our honeymoon destination of Peru next week! We are there for 9 nights 10 days and doing a 3 night/4 day trek up to Machu Picchu and spending the remaining time in Lima and Cusco.
I wanted to find some wedding bands we could wear while we are there because I don’t want to wear our current ones all the way over there and risk something happening to them!
I honestly just want something cheap that won’t turn our fingers green. Any suggestions? I’m looking on Amazon but am really indecisive and would like to see what other Bee’s have done.

I have heard of wooden or ceramic wedding bands. I think ceramic would be really cheap.

I have just a plain, 3mm hammered sterling silver band that I wore on the beach and while we were in town on our honeymoon in Mexico. I’m wearing my real set right now, so I don’t have a picture but it looks something like this;
What about something like this off of Amazon. Cheap and won’t turn your finger green;

@Benavis1489: OMG, we just did that trip last May. It was fantastic, you’re going to have such a great time!!! Who did you book the tour with? For rings, we just wore our usual wedding bands. There was nothing hand intensive that could have damaged the rings and it felt safe. I half a diamond half eternity, so maybe once in Cusco at night, I flipped it around to the plain side, other than that Cusco felt so safe and friendly I wasn’t worried.

I don’t have any suggestions (I wear some bands that I already have for travel), but I want to say that we did the same trip 2 years ago and it was my favorite vacation of all time! I hope you love it too! Enjoy!
Edit: I would agree with PP about wearing your band. I did not wear mine because I send my set back to Tacori every summer when we travel for buffing/cleaning/inspection, but I do have two channel set diamond/sapphire bands and they were just fine. I would also agree that Cusco is generally a very safe and friendly place. As a p.s. the man who owned the B&B we stayed in recommended Cicciolina for dinner and we loved it! Romantic and delicious!

@AnnieAAA: I’ll look into that!! Thank you!!
@littlegraykitten: I like that! Thank you!!
@pinkshoes: I am SOOOOOO excited!!! We booked with Peru Treks and I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things. REI has become our new favorite place to shop haha. I thought about just wearing our bands but I would seriously kick myself if something happened to them. I just wanted to play it safe and just get some cheap ones to wear so I’m not all paranoid while we’re there haha
@MrsT2009: I’m so happy we’re going… Darling Husband was a little ehhh about it at first but after telling all of our friends and hearing how cool they thought it was he’s super excited now. So I’m all like…. so it’s just “ehh” when I say it’s cool but then everyone else says it is and NOW you’re excited!? haha whatever I know he’s going to LOVE it. I’m from Colombia so it’s not my first time in South America but for Darling Husband I get to expose him to a little more of the culture. EEE!
and thanks for the recommendation! I was actually wondering what good places we should go eat at while in Cusco!!

Just wondering how the trip to Peru went? The fiance and I are thinking about going there for our honeymoon in July. We would love to visit Machu Picchu and the Nazca Lines.
