If you plan on going with DK, FWIW I had him price a pretty simple solitaire for an 8mm center in 14k white gold and it was $650. Just to give you a ballpark. I’m going with a 3 stone now, but he’s given me quotes for a few things since I can’t seem to make up my mind. Lol

I would drop working with this vendor and get a refund. I was in a similar situation when purchasing my wedding ring and the negative energy attached to such a large (and expensive) purchase was not worth trying to compromise or sacrifice. When you look at the finished product will you always remember the struggle and poor treatment you received?

avafox : You should check out the last few pages of the I Bought a Cheap Moissanite Off of Ebay thread.

I just had a similar six-prong solitaire made by a Chinese seller named Tianyu. They are reasonably-priced and did an amazing job! Quite a few bees have ordered custom rings from them.

avafox :  I think the more detail you can see, the better. The knife edge is sharp and there is definitely more space under the stone than in the pic you sent them. The head is also taller. I’m not familiar with OEC, so I’m not sure if that affects the design. Seeing a video will help as well as finger pics if they have them.

I imagine it’s hard to let go of this process since you’ve put so much time and energy into it already. But I agree with PP. You don’t want to look at this ring and remember a bad experience. Hopefully the video will help you decide what to do.

avafox :  It’s an 8mm G-H hearts and arrows. I’ll PM you.
