I would ask another relative what his name is. Or you could just say ‘and partner’ but if he’s coming to your wedding you should really find out his name.

find out his name. then put each on separate line

On Outer envelope:

Ms. Jane Smith

Mr. Joe Jones

123 Main St

City, State  Zip

On inner envelope:

Jane Smith and Joe Jones

Bob and Mike Smith

I would find out what his name is.  And technically if they don’t live together, he should get his own invite at his own residence.


Otherwise as above is fine.  And I might make an exception and use an inner envelope for some of the more complicated invites.

You could also write “Ms. Jane Jones and family”.

@SoontobeMrsAM:  call and ask is the only polite way.

Though I understand the point of inviting people you are clearly not close to.
