Say nothing. I think it would be rude to suggest people ship gifts. Most people will ship them anyway and worst case scenario if someone gives you something too big to ship yourself or not safe for plane travel you can return it to the store in Minnesota and buy it on the other end.

 

ETA: If your guests are flying in they aren’t going to bring it on the plane either.

It is not polite to mention gifts in any capacity,  You will have to do what you have to do.  If you cannot take the gifts then return to the store and buy again back home.

I really don’t think this will be an issue.  People know that you are travelling (I hope people coming to your wedding know you and where you live) and would be smart enough without a reminder.
