Ok bees, here is the deal!
I’ve been thinking about my wedding colors and I don’t think I am happy with what I chose. The only thing I have to keep in mind is that the bridesmaid dresses are already ordered in black and our invitations (envelope liner shown by link) that we have to work around. Origianally I had chosen burnt orange and deep red. I have paper flowers already made of the orange-y color. So instead of the red I want a different color. I was thinking that I can lighten up the orange to a very light orange (shown in pic) and do a light pink….? I really have no idea. All i know is that I don’t want deep red in there anymore. Will this be a problem since the ink on the invites is crimson? Help?! What should I do?? The last four pics are my original colors/flower ideas….

Based on what you said above, it doesn’t sound like you have anything in red yet, so I think it’d be pretty easy for you to change from red to pink. I also think pink and orange look really good together.

You’re not stuck but why do you want to change the color? Considering you’re having a November wedding I’d stick with darker colors. I wouldn’t lighten the colors up at all. I really like the deep red and if it were me I’d keep the deep red. If you really want to change may I recommend orange and deep purple. Maybe red as well.

I think you can definitely change your color. Do what makes you happy, and if you are happy and content, it will outweigh the few people’s opinion who might actually notice! Especially since all of your colors are in the same family.

I think you have plenty of time to change your colors. I think the deep red is a little out of place with the oranges you have chosen. The pink would look nice, but I also think adding any shade of yellow would look great. You could do a range of yellows and oranges and use black (or another color) as an accent color.
I wouldn’t worry about the crimson ink on your invitations. I know a few brides that have used colors on their invitations that ended up no where in their wedding. I wouldn’t have even noticed except I was talking all things wedding in great detail with them. None of your guests will show up wondering where the crimson is 🙂

Hey everyone! I think instead of going with such a dark red I will do something more like this!
