Hi everyone,
I’m new here but have found that all of the posts and comments are so helpful so I thought I’d get your opinions on a diamond I have on hold.
This is the link:

Just from looking at the GIA grading report on the website, I’m worried that the inclusions in the center of the stone will be eye visible because there are so many. What do you all think? Is this a good diamond?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I defiitely see some carbon. I don’t think SI2s are bad, but some are more eye clean than others. I would keep searching! I found this one: http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/E-SI1-Ideal-Cut-Cushion-Diamond-1430314.asp.

The first one you chose is sold out. According to the gia report, though, they’re all white inclusions. They should be pretty hard to see in an ideally cut diamond. You can always ask jamesallen staff to check it for visible inclusions

I have an I1 with a visable inclusion. I can see it from certain angels but only if I’m looking for it.
I love my ring and who cares if it has an inclusion! I get compliments on my ring all the time 🙂
No one else ever notices (or has said anything)

@aj0712: The inclusions in that diamond are so small I highly doubt they’ll be seen with the naked eye. Plenty of SI2 diamonds look very clean. Plus you always want some sort of mark that helps you distinguish your diamond when you take it to get serviced!!
FWIW I think that’s a gorgeous diamond! And the fact that it says not available.. maybe you placed it on hold?

@JustLove25: Yes it is on hold. I don’t mind if there are inclusions, just as long as they are eye clean. I guess there’s no way to tell without looking at it though, which is what I am hesitant about

JA is a great vendor, just ask them if it is eye clean, they will tell you. You can also request ASET images on up to 3 stones, and that will show you the light performance 🙂 They also have a 60 day full refund policy so you can always get the stone shipped so you can see it in person first, always a god idea!
