- Wedding: April 2011
I’m Bianca but everyone calls me Bee. I have been with my Fiance for a total of four years and we have been engaged for two of them(and nearing the third year mark). We’re a fairly young couple(23& 24) and both have disabled fathers so we are going to be paying for our wedding expenses alone. This is one main reasons we have been waiting so long. I’m a New Orleans native (minus the accent) and he is from Baton Rouge and we have decided to just take a trip with our parents, my twin sister and one of his brothers, to Pensacola,FL and get married on the beach. We chose not to have our weddings in either of our hometowns because our family is spread out further than that and we’d rather not overestimate and then have last minute no-shows at the wedding, have people make travel/lodging arrangements and have to deal with work schedules and to be honest, the people we really want there, will be there. We want to do a simple, romantic beach wedding in April 2011, but get this, we JUST sat a date, like I mean THIS WEEK! I know you’re probably wondering how in the world I’ll do it(and I’m not even sure I can do it alone but I’ll try). As you can see , we’re really spur of the moment kind of people and the date is really close so when he first proposed(he proposed April 14,08 & WD is April 16,11 so we thought there’s no better time than now. I visited Pensacola a long time ago and my dad suggested it this time so we were all in. I found an officiant and he actually said that the beach near Fort Pickens is quiet and a beautiful to have a small ceremony. I also found a photographer who agreed. Now on to the hard part… I need help with finding a good bakery in the area to do a small two tiered cake, restaurant suggestions since we won’t be having a reception, and beach themed ideas and items. I saw this seashell bouquet before that I absolutely adore so if you or someone you know owns one, please let me know. I am also up for suggestions on hotels! Thanks a bunch.
