Ok brides, here is my dilemma!!! My e-ring was purchased from Jared so my fiance and I went back there to look for wedding bands (and he had no problem finding one-figures!) but I on the other hand am having difficulty finding a wedding band that fits nicely with my e-ring setting. My setting sits right on top of my finger so with a wedding band on, the bands dont sit flush and its awkward and uncomfortable. Jared’s solutions were to either wear a band alone (and my e-ring on my right hand-which I can’t do because I’m a righty and I know I’d whack the crap out of it all the time) or have one custom made which could cost anywhere between 1000-5000 dollars. I maybe could swing the 1000 dollars but anymore than that is too much for me and I wouldn’t feel right spending that much on a ring when I have other expenses (wedding and just in general).
I was hoping I could get some inspiration from others who are having this problem. I would love to see pics of your halo e-rings with wedding bands as well. Thank you brides!!! (Here is my ring!!)

I had to have my band custom made and it wasn’t $1000. It was around $600-700 from what I remember. I actually used sapphires partially for a pop of color and partially because it cut the cost of my wedding band in half. I absolutely love it though! Here’s a couple of pictures.

@mandb122: Thank you for sharing!! I love the pop of color! I never thought to do that as an option to cut costs! I think I’m going to go to another jeweler and see if they can do better than 1000-5000 dollars. Your price sounds way more reasonable!! 🙂 Beautiful rings!!!

The reason it fits under my ring is because I have somewhat of a higher setting…I think the thing you might have to do is have him tweek the setting so it’s higher…I am having my setting highened even more and it’s costing me roughly 1000…I am also having him do some other things so yours might be less.
Typical but I love it:

Your ring is absolutley stunning!
My Fiance allowed me to pick my own engagement ring, and I shopped around a lot. I found Jared to be one of the more expensive stores. Generally going to a local jeweler rather than a chain store is cheaper from what I’ve found, so maybe go to a few other places and see what it might cost.

We had mine custom made as well and per band it didn’t cost $5,000 (don’t remember exact price). I found that with a halo your options are custom, a gap or a curved wedding band to accomodate for the extra width.
Here is mine with the bands:

Try some curved bands on with it! 🙂

I just got mine today! I got a curved band to fit under my halo:

I don’t have a pic but I found a curved band that fit around my halo. It has a small gap but still looks good. They wanted 3k for a custom one.

I dont have a pic to share just yet, but I have the same problem.. mine came as a set, and there is a gap in between. The jeweler said it was meant to be that way and it’s hard to find wedding bands with that curve in them so that it would sit flush. It’s really a pain, but I am considering getting my rings soldered together so at least they won’t move around so much, then the gap will just look more like how a split shank looks.. if that makes sense.

ps Mine was custom made, but by a friend…so it was only like 500. Definitely keep shopping around, and check out the smaller, independent jewelers.

I really like your ring! very pretty and it has a vintage-y feel with the gold showing on the edges.. i like it!
Here is my set 🙂 I didn’t want anything too sparkly, so I opted for a thin white gold band! and it was only $75 🙂
I had the same problem with my ring, I actually sized up my e-ring (for swelling in the summer heat- I’m in Ga) and kept my wedding band my “winter size” and there was no problem.. yea my e-ring wiggles around a little bit, but because its a little larger, it sits flush.. I’ll post a picture when I find my camera!

@mandb122: Your band is so unique and cool!! Love it.

My wedding band has a groove in it for the halo of my e-ring to fit into. Each ring alone:
And then the set together:

I was struggling to find a wedding band to go with my square halo as well! I was also about to have a custom one done, but I really like the look of two, and fiancee wasn’t ready to pay for 2 custom bands. Idk if you like the look, but this enhancer was under $1k from Kay Jeweler’s!!
