Hmm. I think I would pull out the old “eenie-meanie-miney-mo” for this one.

I have channel set rings and I love them. They both look good but channel set is more comfortable.

it’s a tough choice– both rings are gorgeous!  I’m leaning towards channel set because it will be more comfortable.

I have a prong set ring and I won’t wear it by itself b/c it’s so uncomfortable. I’m thinking of getting some kind of channel set ring for days when I want to wear a band alone.  (one day, not anytime soon.)

edit– I agree with what others have said above: the channel set ring will be more secure too. less chance of losing a stone.

prongs!… I really like that setting!  do you know any more information about it (I want to get two diamond bands to go with my ering and I really like the way this looks) – total carats, band width etc?

I think the channel set matches your e-ring better!

Yes, channel is more comfortable…but you would get used to prongs anyway. I prefer the prong-set band!

I love the look of prong set bands. That’s my vote!

I think prong is more classic looking but I will say, whichever HOLDS the diamonds in better, get that one! I am always agonizing over my diamongs in the prong setting falling out! Seems like in the channel seting they’re more secure.

augustrose:  I just went with my fiancé and bought our rings today. I loved the prong setting a lot and surprisingly chose the channel setting instead myself. You can’t go wrong, both look lovely
