I think you need to pick your battles. Don’t include them if you really don’t want to but is it worth having bad blood between you? As a guest, I wouldn’t notice the extra names anyways. As you said in a pp, I only search out the bride and grooms names, date and location. Have you played with fonts? Perhaps if you italicized (sp?) or bolded the important things it would be more eye-pleasing to you. Honestly, I would include them because it will keep them calm and your parents, the ones paying for it, don’t mind. Good luck with your decision!

Thank you everyone for your advice! Here’s an update: My fiance called his grandparents and told them that we got the proof back and it’s very crowded with their names (Truth) and we wanted to take them off the invitation but everyone will be in the program. He told them that we chose a square invitation (which was chosen before they stated that they wanted names on it). They were very apologetic for mentioning such a minor thing to me (in their words) and totally understood. So we’re taking his parents names off, everyone will be in the program, and it seems like there won’t be any hard feelings. If they truly were upset about it then I would have dealt with a wordy invite because I want everyone to be happy. Although, when it comes down to it, I’m the only one who will frame and display the invitation and everyone else will probably throw it out so I am happy that it worked out how it did. I feel like a weight has lifted off my shoulders 🙂
Thank you everyone for your advice!!

Glad everything worked out, I was feeling annoyed with his grandparents for bringing this up when it’s really between the two of you, and possibly the parents, but definitely not the business of the grandparents. So I’m glad they apologized.

@courtney1188: Thank you, I’m glad that you think I wasn’t being too snotty about them putting their 2 cents in. I really do like them but I didn’t like them telling my parents and I what to do.
