I really like the new diamond.  I think it was an excellent choice.

I would keep it. I know many say that it will only bug you more as time goes on, but personally, I’ve found the opposite to be true. I’ve had diamonds with small, but noticible, inclusions in the past – at first it would really bug me (probably because I would spend a lot of time looking at it as it was a new piece), then I’d forget about it. I’d only notice it intermittently and it wouldn’t phase me. Just my experience! If you like everything else about the stone, then I would look past the inclusion (consider it your stone’s “birthmark”).

leahsullyjohn:  I think it was the right decision to exchange the stone for a better clarity. I think the inclusion in the first stone would bother you too much. And one thing is the visibility of it, another thing is how it affects the light reflection through the diamond. The new stone looks gorgeous btw! 🙂

It’s personal preference, but I’d rather have eye-clean over size.

i see a lot of inclusions not just the very obvious carbon right in the middle. i agree with everyone that it would bother me too much even if others didn’t see it. I see it and as you said it’s going to be your forever diamond, why not get something VERY slightly smaller and have it be eye clean and mind clean.

The new, very slightly smaller stone is gorgeous!  I think it was a great decision and you will love it!

leahsullyjohn:  I think the GIA K will be whiter then the IGI K. Ive seen a lot of GIA J’s and they face up very white I think you should be fine

leahsullyjohn:  the inclusion is right in the table. If it’s already bothering you, I don’t think you should keep it. It’ll bother you more and more over time, and that’s a lot of money on a stone you are already indecisive about! I think you should return it and go a little higher on clarity, or get a stone that has better hidden inclusions if  you can

Oops, I’m a little late to the party. I think the new stone looks great!
