I’m in the works of getting our invitations printed, and I’m wondering what the deadline should be for our guests to RSVP. We’re getting married on June 5; should I ask for them to kindly respond by May 5th?
What did you ladies do?

Hello! I am getting married June 4th, and because most of my guests are coming from Out of Town my RSVP deadline is going to be May 5th. In the past, I have seen anywhere from 6 weeks to 2 weeks. It also depends on when your caterer needs final numbers!

we did a month before so RSVPs by Feb 20th. Usually a month before gives all vendors enough time

Thanks ladies! Anyone else with some input? 🙂

I agree with a month…I would do it at least a week before your venders need a final head count so the stragglers can get in there and so you can call people if needed.

I say May 1. It’s an easy date to remember and should give you sufficient time for sure

I usually recommend that the caterer/venue dictate when they require the final count and then back up a week to a week and half from that. Some venues require a month, others only 2 weeks.
Best wishes on your planning.
